5 out of 5 stars A Must Read!   May 18, 2009

I picked up this book as a gift, but I ended up reading it myself before passing it on to the intended recipient. ---
I wish I had this book when starting college. Sometimes when you read a guidebook you expect a lot of superficial, common sense advice. This book goes beyond that - it is superbly written, and the advice is intelligent and thoughtful. It does a great job of addressing issues specifically from a girl's point of view, especially in the dating, health and sorority sections. I think the book gives an accurate picture of what it's like to be a girl in college today. Definitely worth checking out.

5 out of 5 stars Even as a guy I can tell this is great for women going off to college or already there!   August 19, 2009

The stories, advice, information and tips found in U Chic: The College Girl's Guide to Everything are priceless. This is the kind of book I would want my sisters to have as they begin to explore college or even after they have already settled in. As a former student leader on campus, I attended numerous lectures and presentations throughout my 4 years in school where advice was given as to how to adjust to college life and be successful. This book offers everything I heard all at once! There is useful information that pertains to every kind of college student whether you're Greek, live in the residence halls, a freshman, a senior, involved in organizations or just focused on finding a major.

This book is a must read for every girl graduating from high school and any young woman currently in college. It covers a wide range of topics and keeps the reader turning the pages. I'm buying several copies for graduation gifts. Wish I'd had this book when I was in school!

5 out of 5 stars A must-have for high school seniors and college first years!   May 25, 2009

Every young woman about to enter college needs to get this book. The advice is extremely honest and frank. There are also a ton of fun, fast facts sprinkled throughout and the book is organized into chapters that cover all aspects of college life. The pieces come directly from women in college and I'm quite impressed by the quality of their writing. Definitely a great read and makes an awesome gift for those off to college or those who just got into college!

5 out of 5 stars Great Guide for Incoming Freshman and Undergrad Women   June 19, 2009

This is a fantastic book for any woman preparing for or already in college. The advice comes straight from the girls that are there as opposed to "experts" that may be removed from the day-to-day college lifestyle. It provides helpful advice and real-life stories about adjusting to the college experience, from dealing with roommates, to making one's own schedules, to the myriad of social activities available on campus. I highly recommend this book and enjoyed reading even as a recent college grad. I wish it was available when I was about to start school.
