| Customer Reviews: A 'must' for any serious reference library where students are deciding upon and choosing schools December 18, 2009 Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
The Complete Book of Colleges 2010 Edition is a 'must' acquisition for any high school or college reference library serious about providing references for students comparing schools. It provides profiles of everything from admissions procedures and online school searches to online courses and housing, key campus activities, and more. Packed with reference information, it's a 'must' for any serious reference library where students are deciding upon and choosing schools.
Good Statistics April 27, 2010 Norm (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this one to avoid subjective views that are often biased. It is, however, dry and unfocused. There are self promotions by the colleges at the back and clearly labeled as such.
Not "Complete" but still useful May 26, 2010 Laura (Los Angeles, CA USA) As college guides go, this one is probably the best. It offers descriptions of a wide range of schools, from community colleges to Ivy League. In almost all cases, there's useful information about size, demographics, admissions requirements and lots more, as well as web addresses for further research. Some school descriptions are missing key information, and might have been better off being replaced by others for whom more data was available. A good first step in the process of deciding where to apply.
